"May God bless those who walk dogs in the snow"

I was out walking in the snow taking photos one year. I saw all these footprints. I was surprised to see the dog prints too. Then I realized, come rain, sleet or snow, dog owners have an important job to do.
This verse has always fascinated me. "...The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit." John 3:8 It's whimsical in the sense that we don't know where we'll be going or what we'll be doing next. It's also encouraging in that we know things will always change. Then again, it's a little unsettling not to know the future. That's where faith comes in. We know that God leads us out of love and wherever we go, there He is.

karen. Thank you for the nice words you sent my way. They made my day.
ReplyDeleteAnd as far as the wind blowing. i lived in Wyoming for 25 years. I often thought about that verse, as the wind really had no source and no real end. But it was real. (and sometimes real cold!)
I can only imagine. I've never lived in a place that was bitterly cold before. New Jersey gets freezing this time of year, but nothing like Wyoming! Thanks! God bless!
