Paul's Prayer (Ephesians 1:15-23)

This is an amazing prayer.  Paul writes things in this prayer, I don't even think about : ) err usually (blush).

Here's Paul's prayer list:
The God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory may give to you
  • the spirit of wisdom
  • revelation in the knowledge of Him
  • the eyes of your understanding enlightened
To know
  • the hope of His calling
  • the riches of the glory of His inheritance
  • the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe
  • the working of His mighty power
  • what He worked in Christ when He was raised from the dead
  • what happened when He was seated at His right hand in the heavenly places

That's an amazing prayer list!  We usually pray for rain or no rain.  Healing for others.  Such a great challenge for us to look up!  Instead of down.

15 Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, 16 do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, 18 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power 20 which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.
22 And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, 23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.
(Ephesians 1:15-23 NKJV)

Pastor Saeed, a U.S. citizen, has been in a radical Islamic prison for a long time.  Just wanted to say a prayer for him.

Dear Heavenly Father,
I lift up Pastor Saeed in prison to You.  I pray You will keep his tormentors from coming near him.  Build a holy wall to protect him.  Father, I pray for Your hand to send angels to guide him out of the prison to safety.  Your angels are bigger than any man.  Let them smash his chains.  I pray that he will be returned to his family.   Please bring confusion to his captors.  I pray for strength of character and hope for Saeed.  Grant him the peace that passes understanding and renew his spirit.  Nothing is impossible for You!  You rescued the Apostle Paul more than once : )

Our Father in heaven,
Reveal who you are.
10 Set the world right;
Do what's best––
  as above, so below.
11 Keep us alive with three square meals.
12 Keep us forgiven with you and forgiving others.
13 Keep us safe from ourselves and the Devil.
You're in charge!
You can do anything you want!
You're ablaze in beauty!
  Yes. Yes. Yes .
(Matthew 6:9-13 Message)

In Jesus Name, Amen.
