When I read the Psalm today, I couldn't help but smile. "Sing to the Lord a new song!" While there are many new songs and musicians with each generation. It made me think of writing a new song myself. A secret song between me and the Lord. How fun!
Ok, "Pride goes before destruction..." I'll give it a try.
"Everywhere I go You are there!
In traffic jams,
I lift my voice in praise.
I will not fear, what strangers think of me!
You are my God and King.
You have provided satellite to me
Your Song surrounds the world!
In this high tech office in my home,
the internet is free.
You have provided my needs!
Your plan, oh Lord, is sometimes out of reach
but Your timing never fails.
but Your timing never fails.
I praise You God for looking out for me
And our Church around the world."Hahaha, hope you will be inspired to write your own little song : ) That was kinda fun. If you do, be sure to include it in the comments. This Psalm describes a jam session held for God- from voices to harps, trumpets, and horns. Next, the earth joins in with praise.
Psalms 98
1 Oh, sing to the Lord a new song!
1 Oh, sing to the Lord a new song!
For He has done marvelous things;
His right hand and His holy arm have gained Him the victory.
2 The Lord has made known His salvation;
Amazing isn't it? The author of this Psalm never dreamed we'd be reading it on an internet.
His righteousness He has revealed in the sight of the nations.
3 He has remembered His mercy and His faithfulness to the house of Israel;
All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
4 Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth;
Break forth in song, rejoice, and sing praises.
5 Sing to the Lord with the harp,
With the harp and the sound of a psalm,
6 With trumpets and the sound of a horn;
Shout joyfully before the Lord, the King. When I lived in Seattle, I'll never forget the sound of little waves crashing across a rocky beach. The little pebbles bounced off each other. It sounded like a thousand little hands clapping. I stopped and wondered if it was in praise to God.
7 Let the sea roar, and all its fullness,
The world and those who dwell in it;
8 Let the rivers clap their hands;
Let the hills be joyful together before the Lord,
9 For He is coming to judge the earth.
With righteousness He shall judge the world,
And the peoples with equity. NKJV
