Word-filled Wednesday

Sometimes things get so chaotic!  It seems like everyone has issues and problems, all the things I need to do stack up.  Still need to scrub those bathrooms...  But, God is not a God of disorder, He's a God of peace.  Someone once told me, "You can tell when you are right with the Lord, because you have peace.  When your house is messy literally, your heart is also messy."  This is true.  When I find peace in my quiet times, priorities fall into place.  The housework isn't an overwhelming monster, it's taking one step at a time to get it clean.  I've seen this in myself and my husband.  When he's at peace, the first thing he does is clean his office.  It's his man cave so I let him do what he wants with it... I go in to dust and vacuum.

This is another promise we can claim and pray for peace in our hearts and homes.  It's also a good measuring stick as to whether something is really from God or if I'm trying to be superwoman.

Matthew 11:30
"...For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
