Wordless Wednesday

Psalms 71:9
Do not cast me off in the time of old age;
Do not forsake me when my strength fails.
NKJV

My husband and I visited his Grandma, in an Assisted
Living facility, in New Mexico.  We took her out to a
park so she could feed the birds.  Her response was,
"I feel like I'm in Heaven!"  Simple things mean so much.

  1. Oh, what a great pic to illustrate this verse. I have a soft spot for older people. I can't help but think this will be me one day, if the Lord allows.

  2. Thank you. I feel the same way, one day I'll be in that position, if the Lord allows. Plus it's so easy to bring a smile to an older person's face.

  3. That's so very beautiful. Do you think our generations have lost something of that ability for such simple pleasure? Just wondering because my husband's grandpa was the same way...the song of birds or color of the sky was an absolute delight to him. It was very moving to witness.

  4. I think at our age, we come and go as we please. When you can't do that anymore, everything is so much more wonderful. It's all magnified.
